Installing and completing the project while the school remained operational posed logistical challenges, which SiBCAS successfully navigated through meticulous planning and continuous communication with the school. Additionally, the project had to be delivered within a tight timeframe, requiring careful coordination to ensure full building control approval was secured in line with the agreed schedule.
SiBCAS supplied and installed 14 modules, delivering a comprehensive turnkey solution that included the design and manufacture of bespoke classrooms, lobby areas, storage/cleaning rooms, and toilet facilities. The project encompassed extensive groundwork, foundations, and mains connections, along with the installation of fire and intruder alarm systems, CCTV, air conditioning, and door access systems. The two modular classroom complexes were interconnected by a wide aesthetically pleasing decking area, with ramps and steps to enhance accessibility. Our solution was carefully designed to meet the specific needs of Taylor High School, providing modern, functional spaces that foster an optimal learning environment.
The project was successfully completed on time and to a high standard. Both the council and the school were delighted with the finished buildings. The new classrooms have greatly improved the school’s capacity and functionality, providing a better environment for both students and staff using the facilities. The project's success showcases SiBCAS' capability of acting as Principal Contractor, delivering a comprehensive turnkey solution from initial design to final handover.
