Marlow Foods
Modular Office Accommodation, Marlow Foods, Billingham.
THE BRIEF
Due to the high global demand for Quorn Products, a decision was made to increase productivity at the North East Site in Billingham, which required major construction works to build a new fermenter. SiBCAS were appointed to supply and install a Modular Building to house office staff, and welfare facilities for contractors, during the construction of a New Harvesting Forming Project at Marlow Foods’ (the company that gave the world Quorn) North East Plant in Billingham.
BUILDING USE
- Modular Office Accommodation c/w Toilets & Kitchen.
- Portable Site Accommodation including security office, toilet facilities and canteen area.
CHALLENGES
Whilst there were no historical TOPO reports on the location of the modular building, the client requested SiBCAS to conduct a fully comprehensive site investigation report, along with ground bearing pressure tests on various points of site. SiBCAS then cleared the footprint on which the modular was to be located, carried out all relevant groundworks and conducted service connections from the clients existing services on site.
OUTCOME
Upon placement of order from the client, the modular accommodation was delivered, installed & commissioned to suit the client’s requirements within a 3 week period, allowing staff to occupy the modular building one week earlier than the proposed hand over date.
This allowed the client a smooth transition into the new work space
TESTIMONIAL
We are very happy with the modular offices and site accommodation supplied and installed by SiBCAS. The team were very professional throughout the whole process, and I would recommend them on future projects.
