Mace – Greenwich Peninsula Project

THE BRIEF:

Mace won the £150M contract for the construction of some 464 apartments over two buildings, known as the NO205 scheme. The site is located in the Upper Riverside District of Greenwich. The buildings will be the first in a series of towers designed for the site’s regeneration.

SiBCAS were successful in the tender process to supply and install Phase 1 60 bay modular project office & welfare facilities for Mace staff & sub – contractors working on this project, initially the buildings will be on site for two years

PROJECT SCALE

Size: Hire – 160’ x 32’ (2 storey) & 140’ x 32’ (2 storey)

Timescale: Overall Project 9 weeks on site

BUILDING USE

Modular welfare and office buildings including canteen and catering facilities.

CHALLENGES

Siting of 60 modular bays plus stairs in a prime London location within 4 weeks, taking into account London transport restrictions (60 buildings and stairs all delivered from the Bathgate Depot).

OUTCOME

The overall project went very well. The communication on site between SiBCAS and Mace was first class. The works were completed ahead of programme and the client was delighted with the end product of modular project offices and welfare/catering facilities.
