Due to a high demand for pupil places at Longbenton High School – North Tyneside, Modular Building experts SiBCAS were selected to supply and install a single storey, double modular high school classroom complete with toilets and storage areas.
Size: 60’x40′ comprising of 6 no. sections of PermaSpace
Timescale: 4 weeks on site
2no. modular classrooms with entrance lobby, cloak area and toilets. Each classroom has the facility to conduct arts and crafts along with audio visual interactive curriculum.
Once appointed by North Tyneside Council, SiBCAS conducted the relevant site surveys, including site investigation report, ground works, foundation and also the installation of trackway prior to delivery of modular buildings.
The delivery and installation of the modular classrooms were conducted without incidents. The internal and external works were completed diligently, including the installation of steps at both fire exit doors and also a ramped area at the entrance to accommodate disabled access.
All works were completed within the tight timescale requested by the client.
“This project request came to us from our education client at very short notice and we engaged in a procurement process, with several contractors known to the market in this field. From the earliest stage, SiBCAS showed themselves as the standout contractor in both costs and product.”
“As we developed the further detailed specification, Kevin and the team were at hand to assist and guide to fulfil the educational needs and the budget requirements. This enabled us to start on programme and complete a week before the end of the school holidays to allow time for the teaching staff to dry run the facility, ready for when the young people returned.”
“This modular building has now been in full use since early September and Longbenton Campus are delighted with the end result.”
